Cunda Zoi Otel (Adults +16)

The Cunda Zoi Hotel building, just like the people who would run it, was born in the 80-90 generation and has survived to the present day. Despite being a flawed structure, it was charming and relaxing in terms of location. Although it was in the busiest tourist area of Ayvalık, it was isolated in its own right. It had a much higher and sculptural stance than the surrounding buildings. It had an aesthetic difference that almost defied time.

We accepted her with all her flaws and focused on her inner beauty. She was the same age as us and would grow old with us. We wanted her to grow old very well. Because we would grow old together. That's why we determined the path we would take as 'wabi sabi'. We accepted her with all her flaws and set out on the path with her.

Although the building was located in the area of Ayvalık that received the most migration from the Greek Islands, it had turned its back to the old Cunda as if it were challenging this region. It was looking at the sea as if it wanted to break away and escape from the sea to Ayvalık. It was standing in the bay in between as if its lover was left in Ayvalık. But it was from Cunda. That is why we returned it to the Greek and Aegean style.

We chose all our products from materials that come from nature and have spent years in nature, just like our building. Stone, travertine, wood, corten, basalt, etc. As Herman Priga said, we brought them from nature and sent them back to nature. Our trees will turn red as they age, our stones will turn yellow, they will not actually become ugly, they will become more beautiful as they age, they will age like wine.
