Ultava Houses is located in Eski Datça, the only neighborhood of the Datça peninsula that has been inhabited since ancient times, the most distinguished region of Muğla province. In order to preserve the history of the land it is on, it has been restored by blending the existing with today's modern architecture.

Our boutique hotel, which is adjacent to Can Yücel's house, takes its name from the Vltava river in the Czech Republic, where Nazım Hikmet Ran drew much inspiration from while producing his works during his exile. Before being converted into a hotel, Ultava Houses buildings existed for 15 years as the home of British politician, actor and writer Lord Michael Maurice Cashman and actor, singer and NGO supporter Paul Cottignham.

Lord Michael Maurice Cashman has also mentioned his memories here in his book “One of Them”. As the famous geographer Strabon said, “God sends his beloved servant to the Datça Peninsula to live long”. Ultava Houses is located in the most central location of Old Datça, in an area surrounded by nature. Old Datça, which has become the symbol of Datça, hosted the famous poet and writer Can Yücel, and the street and house where he lived have become the focus of visitors today. It is only 3 minutes away on foot from our facility.
